Masherbrum Base Camp Trek

Masherbrum Base Camp Trek | Hushe Valley

One of the most well-known treks in Baltistan is the Masherbrum Base Camp Trek (Skardu). Before traveling to Masherbrum Base Camp, it is advised to spend some time relaxing and getting fit in Machulo Village by going on a canal walk. During the scheduled days of the walk, a number of breathtaking vistas will be available. Mashabrum is also known as K-1. It is 7821 meters high.

You may visit Fish Farm Saling, Gwari Organic Farm, and Khaplu Fort on the jeep ride north from Skardu International Airport. However, the drive brings us to the stunning village of Machulo. Since the locals are kind and have a rich culture, spending time with them and strolling through the village on lovely canal walks brightens your day. After that, move a head alongside the Hushe River.

Marzond, Balaygond, and Talis are the following quick stops on the route to the Mashabrum Base Camp Trek. Additionally, longer hikes, rock climbing, trophy hunting, and outdoor photography are all excellent in Khaney and Kanday. However, this is where our six-hour journey comes to an end in the stunning Huhse Village as this is Pakistan’s final human settlement.

The Hushe Valley is located south of Karakorum’s huge glaciated area. However, the Masherbrum Base Camp Trek provides a number of options for hiking to the base camps as well as ascending a number of peaks. Since we want to provide the whole range, we have bundled some of the most exciting excursions into a single program. You can therefore reach the bases of the higher mountains by walking for a day or two. Because it is where you will have the opportunity to go on walking adventures or try out some light climbing in the area to reach greater altitudes. One of the shorter, simpler treks to gain a beautiful perspective of Masherbrum is the Masherbrum Base Camp Trek.

The first part of this program is the hike to Mashabrum Base Camp. The final outpost, Hushe, is situated against the backdrop of this mountain, Masherbrum 7821m, the 28th highest peak. The Charakusa Valley provides breathtaking views of Chogolisa, K-6, K-7, and numerous other peaks in the second section. We also visit the Gandogoro valley to climb Gandogoro peak, which is 5850 meters high. From there, we have amazing views of the Gasherbrum Group, K-2, and Broad Peak, as well as the Great Mountains of Central Karakoram.

We arrive at the pass’s top after around five hours of travel. One of the most breathtaking views of the Karakorum and numerous other mountains is the prize for our efforts. You can also experience climbing peaks under 6500 meters in altitude with the Masherbrum Base Camp Trek for a nominal bonding royalty fee.
